Trouble in the Punjab as Navjot Singh Sidhu who is currently the Minister of Local Government, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Archives and Museums in Punjab is upset with the portfolio that has been allocated to him and wants the Urban Development Ministry that is under Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. The Punjab cabinet ministers along with Capt. Amarinder Singh took the oath to their respective posts on March 16. On March 20, the newly elected CM of Punjab while talking about his cabinet colleague Navjot Singh Sidhu said that even while Sidhu wants to continue with his television assignments, the advocate general will see whether he can continue with it or not.

The Punjab Legislative Assembly Elections 2017 were announced on March 11 after which Captain Amarinder took oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab on March 16. The Congress party won a total of 77 seats out of the total 117 seats in the Punjab Assembly, while the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party (SAD-BJP) alliance who were in power till 2017 got 18 seats and the Aam Admi Party (AAP) secured 20 seats.

Navjot Singh Sidhu won in the 2004 Indian general elections with a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. In April 2016, he took oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha but he resigned from the Rajya Sabha in July 2016 as the nomination in the house prevented him from the Aam Aadmi Party. In January 2017, Sidhu joined the Indian National Congress (INC) and contested the Punjab Assembly Elections 2017 from Amritsar East and won by a margin of 42,809 votes. He currently serves as the Minister of Local Government, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Archives and Museums in Punjab.

        sidhu should not ask ,if he wish to serve Punjab.How can you seek a Power this is a Job for MANAV SHEVA. People will automatically recognize once you deliver.He is lucky that today in Congress,had he been in AAP then?
