UGC NET 2017: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the UGC NET 2017 examination will be conducted on November 5, 2017, on cbsenet.nic.in.

UGC NET 2017: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the UGC NET 2017 examination will be conducted on November 5, 2017, on cbsenet.nic.in. CBSE conducts the examination every year for the posts of Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellow and Eligibility for Assistant Professor. The examination will be organised in 91 cities for 84 subjects. The Paper-I, II and III are scheduled for November 5th, 2017 in three sessions. Candidates must note that the entry in the examination center for the first session will start at 7:00 am.

UGC NET 2017: Here are the details of the time and schedule of the examination:-

Paper – I: Exam date November 5, 2017
Total marks: 100.
No. of questions: 50.
Exam duration: 1¼ Hours (09:30 am to 10:45 am).
Entry in the Examination center: 07.00 am.
Distribution of test booklet – 09.15 am.
Seal of the test booklet to be opened – 09.25 am.
Last Entry in the Examination Hall – 09.30 am.

Paper – II: Exam date November 5, 2017
Total marks: 100.
No. of questions: 50.
Exam duration: 1¼ Hours (11:15 am to 12:30 pm)
Entry in the Examination Hall: 10.45 am.
Distribution of test booklet: 11.05 am.
Seal of the test booklet to be opened: 11.10 am.
Last entry in the examination center: 11.15 am.
Paper – III: Exam date November 5, 2017

Total marks: 150.
No. of questions: 75.
Exam duration: 2½ Hours (02:00 pm to 04:30 pm).
Entry in the Examination Hall: 01.30 pm.
Distribution of test booklet: 01.50 pm.
Seal of the test booklet to be opened: 01.55 pm.
Last Entry in the Examination Hall – 02.00 pm.

The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor, according to the information mentioned on the official website. It adds that ‘the award of JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both OR Eligibility for Assistant Professor only will depend on the performance of the candidate in all three papers of NET. However, the candidates qualifying exclusively for Assistant Professor will not be considered for award of JRF.’
