NEET result 2017 date and time: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) results will finally be declared as the Supreme Court of India has directed the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to go ahead with the declaration of the results – check cbseneet.nic.in for latest updates. According to a verdict released by the apex court on June 12, CBSE can now declare NEET results and they have stayed the Madras HC’s interim order that restrained the publication of results for admission to Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). According to reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) earlier this month had moved to the apex court against the orders of the Madras High Court dated May 24. This order stayed the publication of the NEET results as a petitioner filed a plea saying the vernacular question papers for NEET 2017 for admission to MBBS and BDS courses were easier than the papers in English, according to PTI.

NEET 2017 for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education as per the rules and regulations stated under the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 on May 7, 2017. The examination results were to be announced on June 8 but the results got delayed due to a plea filed for the cancellation of the exam in High Court.

The exam was conducted in 10 different languages that included- Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada across various centres in the country.
