The University of Mumbai has announced the results of Law final year at their official website. Students can now check their results by visiting the official website mu.ac.in. The results announcement has brought some relief to the students as it was already delayed. Earlier, three law students had approached the Bombay High Court seeking compensation of Rs 10 lakh each for the loss of educational and employment opportunities caused to them due to the delay in declaration of their results, as per Indian Express. Many students have not been able to apply for Masters or any other foreign universities. The petition stated that, this is not the first time MU has caused a delay. “Out of 388 examinations conducted by the respondent university in the second half of 2016, 210 results were declared after the expiry of the statutory period of 45 days, which is evident from the information received under Right to Information Act,” it reads, as per Indian Express.
