Mukesh Ambani on Thursday lauded PM Narendra Modi’s decision of demonetisation. Speaking at a Jio event on Thursday he said that by taking this decision, PM Modi has given the strongest push to growth of digitally-enabled, optimal-cash economy in India. “I would like to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s bold and historic decision to demonetise old currency.” Digitally-enabling transactions will boost economic growth, while bringing unprecedented transparency and accountability, he further said. “I believe that common people will be the biggest beneficiaries of this change,” he added.

Pushing his dream for a digitally connected India, Mukesh Ambani also made a series of statements on the growth of his telecom venture, the achievements in terms of adding customers, and the problems that have been faced due to peers’ “anti-competitive” behaviour. “While customers have shown unprecedented love for Jio, we have not received the required support from existing operators,” Ambani lamented. From calling Reliance Jio the fastest growing technology company in the world to the “best speeds” that are being offered, Mukesh Ambani made some very interesting and awe-inspiring statements.
