Enthused by the huge success of its cement-procurement portal INAM-Pro, an e-platform designed by National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) aimed at bringing buyers and sellers in one platform, the road transport and highways ministry has extended the coverage of the web portal to include all construction material and machinery to help developers to ensure ease of doing business and promote faster development.
The revamped website, INAM-Pro+, the first of its kind in the country, will include the A to Z of construction materials, equipment/machinery and services, which would include purchase/hiring/lease of new or used products and services in various domains, including construction materials, infrastructure machinery, intelligent transport system, road furniture and haulage vehicles, among others.
“This portal is very effective in facilitating efficient and transparent procurement of construction material and service,” road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari said while launching the portal recently. He called upon government organisations, PSUs and other organisations in the sector to make use of this portal.
The INAM-Pro portal was launched as a cement-procurement platform in March, 2015. Infrastructure developers and highway contractors made good use of the portal.
