Dutch Colony-Wrong interpretation

Sri lanka was not a colony under dutch.They only controlled coastal areas.By that time they engaged in commerce with the Sri Lankan King who was ruling the nation from Kandy.In my opinion It is a habit of a good writer to study the story comprehensively before presenting that to the public.There by it is sorry to hear the knowledge of the dear writer. Thank you.
