Scholarship for Girl child of Group D staffBy: N.V. MANOJ | 04-Jul-2009 Already the Group D category in Railways is abolished pursuant to the implementation of VI PC recommendations. I don't know who has made the Rly minister to announce this proposal which cannot be implemented because there are no Group D employees on Indian railways now.
About the constuction of Quarters to the Rly. Staff.By: N.V. MANOJ | 04-Jul-2009 It is better to allow the construction of the quarters to reputed constuction companies in view of the poor quality of work executed by the local engineering Department of Railways with the help of local contractors. These quarters are not even livable after a period of 5 years. It will be better if the contract for contruction of this quarters is awarded on All India Basis to avoid corruption and subsequent sub standard work.
