The government's 2009/10 budget was pro-growth and addressed the stimulus needs of the economy, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, the deputy chairman of the country's Planning Commission, said on Wednesday.
"Yes, I think so," he said when asked if the Monday's budget provided required stimulus for the economy.
The commission would carry out a mid-term review of its current five-year economic plan, and that would be reflected in next year's budget, Ahluwalia said.
