The Indian passenger vehicle segment ended 2015 on a happy note, as it closed the calendar year at around 6 per cent growth rate. While low fuel costs and major investment announcements in infrastructure sector were among the major factors that helped achieve this growth, the role of some big ticket launches like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Renault Kwid, etc cannot be denied.

Like 2015, carmakers have plans to launch several all-new products this year as well to maintain the momentum. Here's a list of three cars that will launched in the first month of 2016

All-New Ford Endeavour

New Ford Endeavour

Long wait for the much-anticipated new-generation Ford Endeavour will get over this month. With an all-new design, platform and several segment-leading features, the new model of the premium SUV is more up-market than the outgoing version. The new Endeavour will be made available in two engine options - a 2.2-litre TDCi diesel and a 3.2-litre TDCi diesel - and in a total of 6 variants. Both the engines will be offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Expected launch - Mid-January, 2016

Mahindra KUV100

Mahindra KUV100

Mahindra & Mahindra that revealed details of its upcoming sub-compact SUV - KUV100 - at a pre-launch event in December, is all set to launch in on January 15, 2016. To be positioned below the TUV300, the Mahindra KUV100 will become the company's most affordable SUV upon its launch. Powering this mini SUV will be two all-new powertrains - a 1.2-litre petrol & diesel - which are the first two engines under the company's new engine family mFALCON. Though there is no official word on its pricing yet, we expect it to come in the range of Rs 4 lakh - Rs 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom)

Launch date - January 15, 2016

Tata Zica

Tata Zica

Third all-new product under Tata Motors' HORIZONEXT umbrella, the Zica will be the company's entry-level hatchback that will take on the likes of Maruti Celerio, Ford Figo and others in the league. Similar to the Zest and the Bolt, the Tata Zica too has been designed by the home-grown carmakers's three design studios - Pune, Turin, Coventry. Having said that, it shares a very little design elements with its other two siblings and looks a lot sportier than both. The new hatchback from Tata Motors will get two all-new naturally-aspirated three-cylinder powertrains - a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol (84bhp, 115Nm) and a 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel (69bhp, 140Nm).

Expected launch - Third or fourth week of January
