Think of a Lamborghini and what is the first thing that comes to your mind? Fast, brutal and visually dramatic? Well, you're right! And with the Huracan LP610-4, they have done justice to the characteristics the Italian brand is known for. But, now the Italian supercar maker has introduced the Lamborghini Huracan Avio, a limited edition that pays homage to the home country's Air Force. How limited? If you're lucky and Lamborghini wants to offer you this beautifully crafted machinery, you can have one of the 250 that would be sold for Rs 3.71 crore, ex-showroom Delhi. Yes, there are only 250 such examples on offer.
Coming to the design, there is no difference in the silhouette of the Huracan and this limited edition. What you do get are special paint schemes and additional standard equipment. The livery includes race stripes with white and grey garnishing on the lower portion of the ORVMs and side sills. The five colour options available are a pearlescent finish Grigio Falco (Grey), matte shades of Blu Grifo (Royal Blue), Grigio Nibbio (White), Grigio Vulcano (Greyish Blue) and Verde Turbine (Green). Another touch to the limited edition, on the outside, is the L63 badging on the doors where 'L' stands for Lamborghini and '63' stands for the founding year of the company – 1963.
On the inside, it feels properly special with the seats draped in Alcantara leather upholstery that has L63 on the side bolstering of each seat and another L63 hand enamelled plate on the window, that tells the driver which edition of the 250 examples is he or she driving. In terms of equipment, the Lamborghini Huracan Avio gets GPS, height-lifting system and cruise control along with the special livery.
What remains unchanged is the powertrain. Under the hood, this limited edition is powered the existing V10 motor that punches out 610hp of max power and a blistering 560Nm of peak torque. Mated to a seven-speed Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) dual-clutch transmission, power is sent to all wheels that are electronically controlled. What this translates into is a 0 to 100 km/h figure in 3.2 seconds, onward to 200 km/h just shy of the 10-second mark and further to a top speed of over 325kmph. So, if you have Rs 3.71 crore plus applicable taxes and are the one to be selected by Lamborghini to honour this beautifully crafted machinery, don't even blink an eye and go ahead.
