Hyundai Creta has been leading the SUV segment since its launch in July this year.
Hyundai India's first-ever compact SUV, Creta, has got off to a flying start with over 63,000 bookings till October 2015. And with an average monthly sales of over 7,000, the Hyundai Creta has been leading the SUV segment since its launch in July this year.
Though, the waiting period on some of the Creta variants went over 6 months that compelled the company to ramp up the compact SUV's production from 5,000/month to 7,000/month. This helped the company bring down the Creta diesel's waiting period to 3 months, while it's even less for most petrol trims across the nation. To further decrease the vehicle's production, the company is planning to produce 2,000 units extra units per month from December 2015 onwards.
Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. V-P, Marketing and Sales, Hyundai Motor India said: Hyundai domestic sales of 47,015 units (in October, 2015) are all-time highest with a strong performance of Modern Premium Brands CRETA & Elite i20/Active with 18,244 units with maximised production to meet the strong demands of the customers so as to minimise the waiting period as we expect the growth momentum to continue in the coming months with improving customer sentiments."
October 2015 was also the most successful month for the Korean carmaker in India ever since its inception. The company recorded highest-ever domestic sales of 47,015 units and exports of 14,777 units with cumulative sales of 61,792 units for the month of October 2015.
