Honda launches 2015 editions of Aviator, Activa i scooters 

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India launched 2015 editions of Aviator and Activa i models in the automatic scooter segment and thereby completed 8 new two-wheelers model launches in 6 months.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India today launched 2015 editions of Aviator and Activa i models in the automatic scooter segment and thereby completed 8 new two-wheelers model launches in 6 months.

Looking to take its its association with women forward and strengthen its connect women drivers, Honda has announced a long term brand association with actress Taapsee Pannu – one of the more recognizable faces of South Indian cinema and a youth icon in Bollywood.

Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said: “Today, as India is progressing, one in every 3 Honda scooter customers is a female. Every month around 75,000 female customers are joining Honda Scooter family. More number of females are now venturing out of their homes and see two-wheeler riding as the ultimate expression of empowered mobility."

Elaborating on India’s pivotal role in the global landscape and Honda’s focus on scooter segment Keita Muramatsu - President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. and Honda Motor India, said: “India is a focus market for Honda & it is significant that Honda’s 2wheeler operations in India is the 2nd largest contributor to Honda’s global sales. Today, one in every four two-wheelers sold by Honda worldwide is from India. I am confident that given our continued investment and growth, we will become No. 1 two-wheeler market for Honda globally within next 2-3 years. Honda’s future growth in India will be co-driven by its scooter portfolio.”

New Aviator comes loaded with:

ADVANCED FEATURES (telescopic suspension, stylish five spoke 12 inch silver alloy wheels, wide and comfortable seat, optional 190mm front disc brakes),

SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGY (109cc trusted Honda engine powered by the latest Honda Eco Technology, combi-braking system for increased rider confidence),

ECONOMY WITH PERFORMANCE (best in class mileage with net power of 8bhp@7000rpm and torque of 8.77Nm@5500rpm)

HIGH ON CONVENIENCE (tubeless tyres, comfortable riding position, viscous air filter, 20 liter under seat storage space, maintenance free battery).

The new Aviator  comes in Silver Strand Metallic in addition to the existing three shades - Rebel Red Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White and Pearl Ingenious Black. The Aviator is priced at Rs 50,863 upwards, but will be available for sale by end of this month across all Honda dealerships in 2 variants as follows .

The Activa i targets a unisex customer base, the Standard variant sports sharply stylized body graphics and comes in 4 colors – Black, Pearl Amazing White, Autumn Beige Metallic and Alpha Red Metallic. The New Deluxe variant sports floral graphics to woo young female riders and comes in 2 colors – Pearl Amazing White and Orchid Purple Metallic. The scooter is priced at Rs 46,213 upwards and will be available for sale by end of this month across all Honda dealerships.
