Honda Amaze, the compact sedan, has crossed the sales milestone of 2 lakh units in India. Launched in April 2013, the Amaze marked the entry of Honda in the diesel segment. It became the first product in Honda Cars’ line-up to be offered in both petrol and diesel variants. “This sales milestone reiterates its acceptance in the Indian market,” the company said in a statement.
The facelift of the Amaze was launched in March this year. It got new exterior styling and several new-age features. It got got the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gearbox, becoming the first petrol car in its class to offer the advanced CVT technology.
Talking about the success of the compact sedan, Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice-president, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd, said, “Honda Amaze has established itself as a very successful entry sedan in the Indian market.

The Honda Amaze is available in 4 grades in both petrol and diesel—E, S, SX and VX in manual transmission. Additionally, CVT transmission is available in S and VX petrol grades. The Amaze is offered in 7 colours.
