Two-wheeler market leader Hero MotoCorp on Wednesday unveiled four concept models, including an electric scooter and two premium bikes, which will be brought to the market over the next few years.
At the Hero MotoCorp pavilion, themed Greenovation at the Auto Expo Motor Show 2016, the company unveiled an electric scooter named Duet-E, which is powered by a 5kW electric motor. “We already have been working on a hybrid scooter. The new Duet-E will come up on the Indian and global roads in the next two years,” Hero MotoCorp chairman and managing director said after the unveiling.
He also said that going forward the company will be looking at gaining share in the premium bikes segment as well. Hero MotoCorp unveiled a 200cc engine powered Extreme 200 and the XF3R concept hinting at a future 300cc Hero motorcycle.
