Skoda Kodiaq

The Skoda Kodiaq will be a premium SUV offered in India and will be manufactured at the Czech carmaker's Aurangabad facility. It is expected to be available with five as well as seven seats and will be underpinned by Volkswagen Group's MQB platform. The premium SUV is expected to be available with one petrol engine mated to a 6 speed manual transmission and a diesel engine paired to a DSG automatic gearbox.

The Skoda Kodiaq will be a premium SUV offered by the Czech carmaker in India positioned in the Rs 30 lakh price bracket. It will be available with a petrol and a diesel engine option. The petrol engine is expected to be the 2.0 litre unit that produces 177 hp of power and 320 Nm of torque. This unit will be a turbocharged one. Like the petrol engine option, the diesel engine will also be a turbocharged unit and a 2.0 litre one too. It is expected to be offered in two states of tune, a 147 hp, 340 Nm tune and a 187 hp, 400 Nm tune. This engine is expected to be available only with a 7 speed DSG automatic transmission and an all wheel drive system will be optional. The SUV is expected to be offered with Skoda Connect, a touchscreen infotainment system that will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in addition to navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition to the infotainment system, the Skoda Kodiaq will also be offered with a dual zone automatic climate control, push button start/stop function, cruise control and a multi function steering wheel. In terms of safety, the Skoda Kodiaq will be offered with up to six airbags, ABS (Anti lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), traction control, reverse parking sensors and a  rear view camera.
