The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is a successor to the SX4 in the executive sedan segment. It is powered by two engines, a 1.4 L petrol engine and a 1.3 L diesel engine. Both engines are responsive and the diesel also has a mild hybrid system for better mileage and lower emissions. Power and torque generated by the Ciaz petrol is 91 hp at 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm at 4,000 rpm respectively. On the other hand, the diesel SHVS generates 88.5 hp at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm at 1,750 rpm. All variants of the diesel Ciaz comes with SHVS or Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki system. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has a well-designed, contemporary silhouette with the front fascia housing a four-slat chrome grille. The headlamp unit has a combination of a projector beam and halogen, a rear combination headlamp and a straight yet strong shoulder line at the sides. The 16-inch 12 spoke alloy wheels look dynamic and have a 195/55 section tyre. The Ciaz measures 4,490 mm in length (4,505 mm for the RS version), 1,730 mm in width and 1,485 mm in height. The RS version has an added body kit with side skirts, front and rear bumper lip and a chunky spoiler that add a sporty appeal to the car.
Interiors of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz have a sophisticated combination of beige and black with a hint of silver on the dashboard, door panels and seats. Cabin space is good and four tall adults can sit in the sedan comfortably.
