The Hyundai Tucson is powered by two engine options, a 2.0 litre Nu petrol engine and a 2.0 litre R diesel engine. The petrol engine generates 153 hp of power at 6,200 rpm and 192 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The diesel engine produces 182 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque from 1,750 rpm to 2,750 rpm. Both engines have been tuned to offer the best balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
Both engines of the Hyundai Tucson are offered with a 6 speed manual transmissions and a 6 speed automatic gearbox. The higher versions of the Hyundai Tucson are also offered with different driving modes for different driving situations.
