The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 is a facelifted version and plugs the gap between the i10 and the i20. The Grand i10 was introduced keeping the requirement of consumers falling in this bracket. The Hyundai Grand i10 partly resembles the Hyundai i10. It measures 3,765 mm in length, 1,660 mm in width and 1,520 mm in height and has the wheelbase of 2,425 mm. All variants are offered with body coloured bumpers, however higher versions also have body coloured door handles, tailgate handle, ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors). The top end comes with chrome door handles instead of body coloured door handles, roof rails and diamond cut alloy wheels.
Inside the Hyundai Grand i10, it is offered with steering mounted audio and phone controls paired to a 7-inch colour touchscreen infotainment system. Powering the Hyundai Grand i10 are two engine options, a 1.2. L Kappa petrol engine and a 12 L CRDi diesel engine. Power generated by the petrol motor is 82 hp at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The diesel engine produces 73 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque from 1,750 rpm to 2,250 rpm. Both engines have been tuned for moderate balance between performance and fuel efficiency.
There are two transmission options available for the Hyundai Grand i10, a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The automatic transmission is available only in the petrol engine powered versions. The automatic transmission aids to comfortably drive in stop and go traffic.
The Hyundai Grand i10 has a special anti-corrosive steel ring structure to improve rigidity for occupant safety. Additional safety features like ABS and co-driver airbags are available in the higher variants while all versions are offered with driver airbag and immobiliser.
