The Tata Nexon is set to be launched next week. It's biggest problem? The Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Will Tata's fun and fresh new compact-SUV, be able to take down the down to earth, practical Vitara Brezza? Read on to find out our views on the subject.
Both the Tata Nexon and the Vitara Brezza get projecter headlamps. However the Nexon does get LED DRLs as well, and we'd say we prefer the design on the Nexon although that is purely a matter of choice.
In terms of dimensions both are almost entirely the same. Although the Nexon is slightly wider and longer. While in terms of overall looks our pick would definitely be the Nexon, being one of the few cars that lost very little between concept and production. Its provocative design will work better with the millennial audience who are buying their first car. While the Brezza will work better with the older demographic.
On the Interiors, the Brezza does get slightly more in terms of space, and on overall practicality. But the Nexon is more refined in terms of ambience, and has a slightly better build quality as well. Both have touch screen infotainments systems while the Nexon gets the addition of Android Auto, while the Brezza only gets Apple car play. Whereas on all other counts the two could go all day.
While Infotainment systems on both cars are almost equally equipped. The Tata Nexon does have the advantage with the screen placed on the dash and Android Auto. Which makes for easier viewing and less eyes-off-road times. Additionally the Harman speakers on the Tata Nexon make for really good listening. The Brezza only get Apple Car Play and is likely to get Android Auto in the months to come. However, it is still a glaring oversight.
