Engine: The new 2017 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is powered by the same engine options like the ones on the outgoing model. The petrol variants get a 1.2 litre K-Series petrol engine that develops 83 hp of power and the diesel versions are powered by a 1.3 litre DDiS unit with 74 hp of power. Both engines are paired to a 5-speed manual and an AGS (Auto Gear Shift) or an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission)
Dimension and Weight: The new Dzire is based on the company's 'Hearttect' platform, which also underpins the Baleno in India. The platform uses ultra high-tensile sheet metal and is light in weight that has lead the car to lose 105 kg for the diesel versions and 85 kg for the petrol trims. The new Maruti Suzuki DZire measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,515 mm in height. The company has also increased the boot space of the new DZire from 316 litres to 376 litres.
Exterior: The third generation Dzire has received new design and styling, while the silhouette remains same. The front fascia has been revised and now gets a large hexagonal grille and projector headlamps with DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps). At the rear, the carmaker has revamped the tail lamp cluster. The tail lamps also get integrated LED lights as well as a a few chrome bits at the rear. The new Dzire will also be available with a choice of six exterior colours, Oxford Blue, Sherwood Brown, Gallant Red, Arctic White, Silky Silver and Magma Grey.
Interior: The new Dzire gets a new touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, USB, Radio and AUX playback as well as Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The cabin also gets faux wooden trims on the steering wheel, dashboard and door panels The car will also receive a beige seat upholstery along with other convenience features like steering wheel mounted audio and phone controls as well as automatic climate control.
Safety: The safety features will consist of ABS (Antilock braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and dual front airbags as standard. In addition of the standard safety features, the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is also compliant with frontal offset and side impact protection along with door ajar warning light and seat belt warning audio alarm.
