The Mercedes-AMG GLC43 coupe has been launched at Rs 74.8 lakh ex-showroom India and that makes 362 bhp and 520 Nm of torque from a bi-turbo 3.O litre V6. It will get 0-100 in an astonishing 4.8 seconds and has a top whack of 250 kmph.
Powering 4 wheels is a modified 4Matic system which sends 69% of the power to the rear and 31% of the power to the front wheels, to ensure that the GLC43 AMG coupe will retain the signature AMG tail-happy manner.
The instrument cluster is a twin pod unit separated by a centrally mounted digital display. The front windscreen gets a HUD with navigation to ensure that the driver does not have to take his eyes of the road.
The infotainment and the navigation system is controlled by the centrally mounted Mercedes-Benz toggle button. Being mounted on the centre at arm level it makes it very easy to control without having to remove your hand from the steering for too long.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC43 coupe will have four driving modes that alter the characteristics of the car like throttle response, steering response, suspension and how the ECU maps fuel into the engine. They are Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC43 coupe gets a 490-litre boot which can be extended 1205 litres by folding the second row of seats.And even though it is a coupe it get plenty of room in the back to accommodate a second row of people.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC43 coupe gets 19 inch wheels with alloy wheels wrapped around AMG sport alloys, paired with 255/45 section tyres in the front and 285/40 rear tires. Although internationally the AMG is sold with 20-inch tyres, the smaller section tyres will help it to gain a few millimetre of suspension travel for Indian road conditions
