Twenty Two Motors a new start-up which commenced operations in 2016 has for the first time unveiled a new prototype of its electric scooter called FLOW. While the company claims that this is still a prototype, the production version of the Flow e-scooter will be the same as the concept. Flow claims a range of 80 kms per charge and has a top speed of 60 kmph. Twenty Two Motors invested Rs 5 million to set up a facility in Bhiwadi which has an installed capacity of 10,000 units. The FLOW electric scooter will make its market debut in India at the 2018 Auto Expo scheduled in February.
Twenty Two Motors' Flow electric scooter is expected to be priced between Rs 65,000 - 70,000 (ex-Showroom). Modern looks and new technology including mobile application connectivity and long range makes it one of the best e-scooter out there in the market. The company currently is not planning to open any dealerships and is betting big on its experience zones and believes major sales would be from online sales. The company will offer 50,000 kms warranty and the top-end variants will feature of the scooter will feature a dual battery, in-built mobile charger etc.
The FLOW Electric scooter looks is the first e-scooter in the market to follow the design language of the conventional scooter and gets tall stance with a longer wheelbase. It features telescopic front suspension and is calibrated for proper balancing. Twenty Two Motors' Flow weights about 85 kgs which will enhance the over all ride handling.
Flow electric scooter gets a round head lamp cluster with LEDs and it gives the scooter the retro look, similar to that of Vespa. The handle bars are wide enough for comfortable seating position. The indicator lights both at front and rear get LEDs.
Twenty Two Motors have added disc brakes to both front and rear wheels. Disk brakes have been integrated with electronic braking system to ensure a smooth and quick halt.
