Toyota registers 10 percent growth in November 2016

More than 50,000 Inoova Crysta have been sold since its launch, less than six months ago. The new Toyota Fortuner too has got more than 6,200 bookings since its launch on 7th November, 2016.

Toyota Kirloskar Motors has announced its sales figures for the month of November, 2016. The company has registered a 10 percent growth in the domestic market in November, 2016 with sales amounting to 11,309 units, compared to November, 2015. The company has also exported 1,284 units of Toyota Etios series last month, resulting in 12,593 units of exports in total. Toyota sold 10,278 units in the domestic market and exported 1,110 units in the same period last year.

The Toyota Platinum Etios and Innova Crysta, which was launched in May, 2016, have also managed to register a good sales number for the company. The Innova Crysta has clocked cumulative sales of around 50,000 units within six months of its launch.

Commenting on the monthly sales, N. Raja, Director & Sr. Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said “November has been a very exciting month for us as we launched one of the most anticipated products of the year- the all new Fortuner. We are overwhelmed by the response it has received with over 6,200 bookings already. This has also encouraged us to meet the demands and expectations of our customers as we have shipped close to 2,500 units of the new Fortuner to our dealerships across the country. The sale of new Fortuner has almost doubled this month when compared to the same period last year.”
Due to the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes by the Government of India on 8 November 2016, the sales of the vehicles have been affected and resulted in low sales during the month. According to N. Raja, the company has introduced some cashless schemes for the customers like 100 percent on road funding, payment through E-Wallet and Paytm for a smooth and hassle-free car buying experience.
