Japanese car manufacturer Toyota had recently showcased its facelifted version of Etios and Etios Liva in Brazil. It is expected that the company might launch the updated version of the duo in October 2016, in India, allowing the company to capitalise on the festival season.
With this upcoming update in both the models, the company is offering benefits on the current Etios and Liva in India to make way for the refreshed hatchback and sedan. The dealerships in Mumbai are giving discounts of up to Rs 15,000, while in Delhi, discount of Rs 12,500 being offered on the Etios and Rs 10,000 on Liva. Bookings for the 2016 Toyota Etios and Liva will start soon, as confirmed from a company dealership. The company is yet to make an official statement on the change in prices.
According to pictures, the new Etios and Liva has same design as the current model. Both the models now features new V-shape radiator grille and dual colour bumper along with fog lamps. The cars also get 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The major changes can be seen in the interiors like touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted controls and cruise control.
Both the cars carry the same engine, a 1.2 L petrol engine which churns out 78hp of power and 104 Nm of peak torque. The diesel model is powered by a 1.4 L engine that produces 67 hp of power and 170 Nm of peak torque. The Etios hatchback is also offered with a 1.5 L engine, which produces 88hp of power and 132 Nm of torque.
