Toyota Innova Crysta Sports Touring Edition launched at Rs 17.79 lakh

At the completion of one year of the Toyota Innova Crysta, an update of the MPV has been launched at a price of Rs 17.79 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi known as the Innova Crysta Sports Touring Edition. The new offering is powered by the same petrol and diesel engine option that is mated to a manual and an automatic transmission with cosmetic updates. The 2.7 litre petrol engine produces 164 hp of power and 245 Nm of torque, while the 2.8 litre diesel motor generates 171 hp of power at 3,400 rpm, 360 Nm of torque from 1,200 rpm to 3,400 rpm. The diesel variant also get the same 2.4 litre engine that also powers the standard model. In terms of mechanicals, there are no changes, but there have been minute cosmetic updates.

The cosmetic updates include new blackened out 16-inch alloy wheels, a blackened out front grille with chrome outline, chrome inserts on the front and rear bumpers as well as side skirts. Since the Innova Crysta Sports Touring Edition is based on the top-end ZX trim, it is offered in a 7 seater layout with captain seats in the second row with individual AC vents for all rows. Unlike the ZX trim, the company is offering the Toyota Innova Crysta Sports Touring Edition with an all-black interior theme. Other features offered on the MPV are a climate control system and a touchscreen infotainment unit which is compatible with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, steering mounted audio, phone and cruise controls.

In terms of safety, the Toyota Innova Crysta Sports Touring Edition is offered with dual front airbags, side as well as curtain airbags and a knee airbag for the driver, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with Brake Assist, traction control and hill hold assist. With the launch of the Toyota Innova Crysta's new facelift, the company would aim are targeting a younger audience looking for a sporty looking MPV attracting more potential buyers.
