Toyota will launch a 'Sports' edition of the Innova Crysta, but, before the launch, the MPV has been spied at a dealership. The new Sports Edition is expected to be introduced next month at the completion of one year anniversary of the Innova Crysta. The Crysta Sports edition will get cosmetic updates at the exterior and the interior. On the outside, the MPV gets black body cladding on the bumper, chrome accents on the fog lamps, ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) and side body cladding. It will be offered in Wine Red and Super White colours and also gets 16- inch black alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the Touring Sports Edition will get features based on the top end ZX trim including a 6 seater layout with captain seats in black seat upholstery. This will be in addition to the touchscreen infotainment system and an automatic climate control.
The Innova Crysta Touring Sports edition will be powered by a 2.8-litre diesel engine that generates 171 hp of power and a 360 Nm of torque. This engine will be mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Toyota launched the Innova Crysta in May 2016 with three engine options, a 2.4 litre diesel and 2.8 litre diesel and a 2.7 litre petrol. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Innova Crysta is priced from Rs 13.83 lakh to Rs 20.77 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The Innova Crysta Touring Sport will be priced slightly more than the top-end ZX trim offered with the larger capacity diesel engine paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
