As we reported earlier, Tata Motors is presently testing its upcoming car Nexon on Indian roads and now fresh images of the interior have emerged on the internet. According to these shots, the Nexon gets dash-top mounted touch screen infotainment system supplied by Harman. The system features Map MyIndia navigation and is compatible with Bluetooth connectivity, USB and Aux-in connectivity. It also gets a piano black finish on the dashboard, wedge shaped AC vents and MID in the instrument console.
The Nexon is Based on Tata's 'IMPACT' design language and is expected to be powered by the Tiago's 1.2 litre Revtron three-cylinder petrol and a new 1.5 litre common-rail turbocharged diesel engine. Both engines are most likely to get a 5-speed manual transmission, while the petrol variants could get an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) gearbox.
At the exterior, the compact SUV will get projector headlamps with DRL's, U-shaped tail lamps aerodynamically designed front pillars and chrome 'Humanity line' front grille. Dimensionally, the compact SUV measures 3,995mm in length, 1,811mm in width, 1,607mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,498mm.
Tata Motors showcased the Nexon at the 87th Geneva Motor Show and will launch in mid-2017 in India. The Nexon is expected to be priced between Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 8.5 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi and when launched the Nexon will compete with the likes of Ford EcoSport, Mahindra TUV300 and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
