Renault India launches its much-awaited KWID Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) at a price of Rs 4.25lakh, ex-showroom Delhi which was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo – The Motor Show. Earlier this year, the company launched the KWID with 1.0L engine and the AMT version is available in the same, RXT trim. It is Rs 30,000 dearer than the manual transmission variant.
The KWID AMT delivers 68hp of power and 91Nm torque with a claimed fuel efficiency of 24.04 km/l. The transmission of AMT version gets a dial placed on the centre console instead of the conventional gear stick and comes with three modes- Reverse –Neutral -Drive. Inside the cabin, the car features a 7-inch MediaNav multimedia & navigation system compatible with USB, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity.

The exterior changes include dual tone bumpers, fog lamps and new C-shaped Renault lighting signature. With the rear seats upright, boot space volume stands at 300 litres which can be extended to 1115 litres. In terms of safety, the car features a seat-belt pre-tensioners with load limiters and a driver airbag.
The AMT is available with five colour options- Fiery Red, Ice Cool White, Moon Light Silver, Outback Bronze and Planet Grey.
