We had earlier reported that Land Rover has unveiled the Range Rover Velar SUV.When launched, it will be slotted between the Range Rover Evoque and the Range Rover Sport in the company's model lineup. The carmaker has also started accepting the bookings for the Velar and the official prices will be announced on 21st September this year. The Range Rover Velar is expected to be priced between Rs 80 lakh and Rs 1 crore, ex-showroom. The SUV will compete with the likes of the Audi Q7 and the BMW X5 in its segment.
The Ranger Rover Velar has been spotted for the first time in India by Premster14. The Velar will be available in four variants. The variants will be powered by a 2.0 litre Ingenium turbocharged diesel (D180) with 177 hp of power and 430 Nm of torque. The 3.0 litre V6 twin turbocharged diesel (D300) will develop 296 hp and 700 Nm of torque, while the 2.0 litre Ingenium petrol engine (P250) will produce 246 hp of power and 365 Nm of torque. All engines will be paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and will send power to an all-wheel drive system.
The Range Rover Velar will feature a new InControl infotainment system, the Touch Pro Duo with a 10-inch touchscreen. The Velar will also get a 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display that will project driving information, entertainment and active safety data such as navigation, phone and media. The Head-Up-Display (HUD) that projects vehicle data such as speed, gear position and navigation directions on the windscreen will also be available.

The exterior of the SUV will receive 22-inch alloys and Matrix-laser LED headlamps on higher trims. The standard equipment will include rain sensing wipers, tailgate slotted spoiler, flush deployable door handles and heated exterior mirrors. The Range Rover Velar will also get LED quad tail lamps, an intrusion sensor, Emergency Brake Assist and six airbags.
