Range Rover Velar prices for India announced: Deliveries to begin by late January 2018

The Range Rover Velar prices have been revealed by the company and its official launch will likely take place in early January 2018. The Velar shares its underpinnings with the Jaguar F-Pace premium SUV.

Jaguar Land Rover has just announced the prices of its newest SUV Range Rover Velar for the Indian car market. The company's fourth model in the Range Rover family for India, the new Velar bridges the gaps between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport. The prices of the new Range Rover Velar in India start at Rs 78.83 lakh and the deliveries will take place by the end of January 2018. The top end 3.0L diesel First edition trim will set you back by Rs 1.37 crore (both prices, ex-showroom).  The official launch of the car is likely to take place in early January 2018. The new Range Rover Velar will be available for sale in India in thre engine options. The 2.0-litre diesel engine churns out a  maximum power output of 177 hp while the 3.0-litre motor is good for developing 296 horses. Last, the 2.0-litre four cylinder petrol engine generates a peak power output at 247 hp. Unfortunately, the most powerful variant that comes with a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine will not be launched in India. The said version churns out an impressive 375 hp of power.

The Range Rover Velar is manufactured at the company's Solihull production facility in the UK. As far as features go, the new Range Rover Velar gets a touch pro Duo infotainment system that features two high definition 10-inch touch screens. While one of the two is mounted on the dashboard and displays navigation, phone menu and the media, the below one shows functions like terrain response system and the climate control.
