Tata Motors showcased its latest crossover Nexon at the 87th Geneva Motor Show, where the manufacturer revealed specifications and features of the car. Now a fresh image of the Tata Nexon has been spied by Carwale, which speculations suggest may be the final production version of the crossover bound for India. The car featured in the image is the top variant, which is based on the IMPACT design language. It features aerodynamically designed front pillars, chrome 'Humanity line' front grille, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, fog lamps, side body cladding, roof rails, ORVM turn indicators and alloy wheels.
The manufacturer showcased the Nexon at the Geneva motor show with a 1.5L Revotorq Diesel engine. It is expected that the Indian version might get a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol and a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel unit. The transmission will be mated to a manual transmission, while automatic might be later announced.
The Nexon will feature a touchscreen Harman infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted controls, automatic climate control and keyless entry. In terms of safety, the Nexon Geneva Edition gets front dual airbags, ABS with EBD with Corner Stability Control for safe drive and ISOFIX mounts at the rear seats for child safety.
TATA Nexon Geneva Edition it is expected to be priced at about Rs 7 lakh and will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV 300 in the compact SUV/ crossover segment.
