With GST Effect from July 1, various car manufacturers have reduced the price of its vehicles. Renault India has also lowered the prices of Kwid in the range of Rs 5,200-29,500 depending on variants. The base variant of the hatchback with .08 litre engine is available at a price tag of Rs 2.62 lakh, while the 1.0 RXL trim is offered at a price of Rs 3.49 lakh,ex-showroom, Delhi, as confirmed by the dealer. Also, the company has updated its website with new price list. The Kwid is an entry level hatchback in the company stable and comes with a 799 cc petrol engine and a 999 cc petrol engine, the latter available only in the higher variants. The 799cc engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission while the 1.0-litre engine is also available with an AMT gearbox, which company knows as Easy-R automatic transmission. In terms of safety, it comes with ventilated discs at front with drum brakes at rear, driver and passenger side and front impact beams, speed sensing automatic door locks, hazard warning switch and driver airbag. Key features include front power windows, power steering, a touchscreen infotainment system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity.
Renault India launched the Kwid in 2015 and since then the hatchback has received the tremendous response from the customers. With this, Renault introduced the Kwid Climber this year at a price of Rs 4.30 lakh. The Kwid Climber comes with a 1.0-litre SCe Renault engine and is offered in two transmission options a five-speed manual or automatic transmission. In addition, the company has also reduced the prices on the SUV Duster RXZ AWD ranges from Rs 30,400 to Rs 1,04,700 and that of Lodgy Stepway RXZ between Rs 25,700 to Rs 88,600.
