As reported earlier, the current generation Hyundai Creta will be going under a mid-life makeover and a facelifted version of the SUV can be expected by 2018. The Hyundai Creta, in its current generation, has garnered popularity and in fact, the testimony of the same is the witness of sales of one lakh units in just a year of its launch in 2015. Now, the SUV has been spotted without camouflage in China, courtesy Autohome.com.cn and the facelifted SUV now has the signature hexagonal front grille with a four-slat grille and redesigned bumpers. In terms of engine and transmission options, the facelifted version of the Hyundai Creta is expected to remain the same with a set of petrol and diesel engine options with their respective automatic and manual transmission.
Under the bonnet, there will be a 1.4-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed manual transmission, while a larger 1.6-litre diesel unit is expected to come with 6-speed manual as well as a 6- speed automatic gearbox. A petrol engine option is also expected to be offered with a 1.6-litre motor mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as well as a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Interior features would include a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, USB and Radio playback along with Bluetooth audio streaming. Along with the infotainment system, the 2018 Hyundai Creta will also be offered with an automatic climate control, steering mounted audio control as well as cruise control. These features, however, will be restricted to the higher variants.
The expected prices of the facelifted Hyundai Creta will be at a slight premium compared to the existing model. However, with the introduction of minor tweaks in the South Koren carmaker's SUV sold in India, the company would garner an equal amount of popularity provided it stays ahead of its competitors.
