The new Ford EcoSport Storm has recently been unveiled for the Brazilian market. The rugged version of the compact SUV got leaked in some images a few days back that gave a hint of what it will be like. One of the most prominent changes on the new Ford EcoSport Storm is the revised front grille that will instantly remind you of the F-150 Raptor. The new EcoSport Storm now features the word 'Storm' written on the grille up front in bold lettering that gives it a bolder look. The compact SUV also gets Xenon headlamps and the LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) complete the entire set up. Blacked out linings around the fog lamps and black stripes running across the bonnet length are other welcome changes on the new Ford EcoSport Storm. The new Ford EcoSport Storm gets 17-inch alloy wheels that have a new design when compared to the standard model. The Storm badge has also been stitched on the front seats to offer a premium and upmarket appeal. The spare wheel on the rear is also enclosed within the guard that gets the Storm badging.
The new Ford EcoSport Storm sources its power from two engine options. While the 2.0-litre petrol engine churns out a maximum power output of 170 hp along with a peak torque of 202 Nm, the 2.0-litre diesel mill is good for 176 hp and 221 Nm. An all-wheel drive system comes standard. The cabin of the new Ford EcoSport Storm has also been updated with dual tone orange and grey colours. The upholstery receives the Storm badging to offer a signature treatment.
As far as India launch is concerned, the new Ford EcoSport Storm is unlikely to make its debut here anytime soon. The company has recently launched the EcoSport facelift in India and in such a case, launching another version might be a no-brainer.
