Audi India has launched the new Q3 at a starting price of Rs 34.20 lakh for the 2.0 TDI FWD (Front Wheel Drive) and Rs 37.30 lakh for the 2.0 TDI quattro variant, both prices being ex-showroom, Delhi. Audi has launched the new Q3 with the same engine options but with an increased power figure along with a host of new features.
The Audi Q3 is powered by a 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine that produces 150 hp and 340 Nm of torque. The power is channeled to the front wheels through a new 7-speed S-tronic transmission. The company claims that the SUV delivers an ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 18.51 kmpl. The FWD car can sprint from 0 to 100 in 9.3 seconds.
The 2.0 litre TDI Quattro version is powered by a more powerful engine that generates 184 hp and 380 Nm of torque and is mated to a new 7-speed S-tronic gearbox. Power is channelised to the a permanent all-wheel drive system. The company has increased the power of the engine by 4 percent over the previous model. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.9 seconds and is cliamed to return a fuel economy of 15.17 kmpl. The carmaker has revised the 7-speed S-tronic transmission to return higher fuel-efficiency without sacrificing power and torque.
Audi Q3On the exterior, the new Audi Q3 gets new 17-inch cast aluminium 5 V-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 235/55 R 17 tyres. The car also gets an electrically adjustable panoramic sunroof as standard, LED headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) and a redesigned bumper with sharper lines. The front fascia also gets new air intakes mounted on the front bumper.
Similar to the exterior, the new Q3 interior too gets new features in the form of walnut brown inlays and standard electrically adjustable front seats as well as the Deluxe 2-zone automatic air conditioner. The top variant, the 2.0 TDI quattro, in addition to this is also equipped with sporty aluminium tangent inlays. Audi has also equipped the new Q3 with features like four-spoke multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters. The new Q3 also features an infotainment system which features voice dialogue system, Audi music interface with Bluetooth interface, Audi sound system, phone box with USB slot, MMI navigation, 20GB jukebox and 2 SD card slots.
Other standard features include coloured driver information display, folding rear seats, front and rear centre armrest and cruise control. For the safety of all occupants, Audi has equipped the Q3 with a reverse parking camera, Hill-start assist & Hill descent assist, Electromechanical parking brake, Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP) and six airbags as standard.
