Mercedes-Benz is set to launch its eighth product in India on 21st July - the GLC 43 AMG Coupe. It was first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show 2016. This will the second launch from the German brand this month, the previous one being the GLA facelift. The GLC 43 AMG will be the same engine that propels the rest of the 43 series AMG vehicles. It will also feature five driving modes. The GLC43 AMG Coupe will come with a diamond radiator grille, large air intakes and a front splitter chrome finish. It will come with 19-inch alloy wheels as standard, however, customers can choose 21-inch wheels as an option. At the back, it features a sloping roofline, lip spoiler and a quad exhaust setup. Internationally, the GLC 43 AMG is placed between the GLC Coupe and the GLC 63 Coupe. In India, the car will join Mercedes AMG's 43-badged lineup of GLE 43 Coupe, SLC 43 and C 43.
It will be powered by a 3.0-litre twin turbocharged V6 petrol engine which produces 367 hp at 5500-6000 rpm and 520 Nm of torque at 2500-4500 rpm. It will be capable of 0-100 kph sprint in a claimed 4.9 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 kph.
The new GLC 43 AMG comes with five drive modes – Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual. The new car will come equipped with independent sports suspension with adjustable dampers as standard, as well as adjustable ride height.
On the inside, it gets black leather upholstery with red stitching and a sports steering wheel. Other convenience features include a seven-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity and a race timer.
