Maruti Suzuki records 12.2 percent growth in November 2016

In domestic sales, the company witnessed an increase of 14.2 percent and decline of 9.8 percent in its exports sales.

India's leading car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki posted a growth of 12.2 percent in its sales for the month of November 2016. The company sold a total of 1,35,550 units in November 2016, as compared to 1,20,824 units in November 2015. In the domestic market, they sold 1,26,325 units and 9,225 units in the export market.

In the passenger cars segment, which comprises of Alto, WagonR, Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Baleno, Dzire, Dzire Tour and Ciaz, Maruti has witnessed a growth of 8.1 percent. The company sold 96,767 units in November 2016, as compared 89,479 units in same month last year.

In the utility segment, which includes Gypsy, Ertiga, S-Cross, Vitara Brezza, the manufacturer witnessed a growth of 98.1 percent. Maruti Suzuki sold 17,215 units in November 2016, against 8,688 units in November 2015. For the Vans( Omni and Eeco) the manufacturer witnessed a decrease in its sales of 1.6 percent at 12,238 units in November 2016, against the 12,432 units in November 2015.

For the light commercial vehicle( Super Carry), Maruti Suzuki sold 105 units in the month of November 2016.
