India's leading car maker, Maruti Suzuki organizes an initiative for Road Safety named as 'Gatimaan Ki Paathshala'. The initiative is for the school children of 7-10 age group to create awareness about the road safety and traffic rules.The car maker has designed the initiative in a fun way, which includes classroom sessions and play activities. For the awareness about road safety, the company has made a special character 'Gatimaan', which explain the Do's and Dont's on road safety through the Interactive Audio-Visual. Along with this, Maruti Suzuki has made modules for the children like traffic signals, bicycle and battery operated kids car.
For this drive, Maruti Suzuki in association with Gurgaon Police will cover 125 schools and 50,000 students. The initiative was inaugurated by V Puran Kumar, IPS, Joint Commissioner (Traffic), Gurgaon Police at Manav Rachna School sector 51, Gurgaon
Speaking on this Initiative, Mahesh Rajoria, Assistant Vice President, Maruti Driving Schools, Maruti Suzuki India said,"Gatimaan ki Paathshala strengths our road safety initiative. Teaching children at this young age helps inculcate responsible road habits at an early stage. By educating these children, we are able to drive the message of road safety and significance of traffic rules amongst their friends and family members as well."
