Mahindra and Mahindra to launch updated TUV300 and KUV100 this month

Mahindra and Mahindra is planning to launch a facelift version of the KUV100 along with a new variant of TUV300 this month, according to a report in Autocar. It is expected that the company might launch an updated version of the KUV100 on 21st September 2017. The facelift version of KUV100 has been spied testing many times on Indian roads and it will get minor updates at exterior and in the interiors. The compact crossover will get updates at the front such as a reworked bumper with a new grille and redesigned headlamps. At the rear, it will get refreshed tail lamps and a redesigned bumper. The KUV100 is expected to get an updated infotainment system too with improved connectivity options. It is expected that the higher variants of KUV100 will get touch-screen infotainment system that will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Under the hood, the KUV100 will use the same power train- a 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine. Both engines will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

On the other hand, Mahindra will also add one more variant in the TUV300 line up. The new variant will be called the T10 and is expected to be introduced later this month. The T10 variant will be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that will produce 100hp of power and 240 Nm of torque. It is expected that the T10 will get an AMT transmission. In addition, it will get a dual paint job and an updated infotainment system that will be compatible with an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In other recent developments, Mahindra and Mahindra is planning to expand its electric car division by investing an amount of Rs 300 crore to Rs 400 crore in development of electric cars. It is expected that the company will roll out electric versions of XUV500 and Scorpio in order to improve the appeal of electric vehicles for the masses.
