The Mercedes-Benz GLC “fastback” coupe’ is a compilation of contrasts, it's a coupe’ based on an SUV which is loosely based on the C-Class sedan. Now if that’s not enough for you, Mercedes-Benz Indis bringing in the Affalterbach fettled AMG version of the GLC coupe, the GLC43 AMG Coupe. Unlike its more brutal twin turbo V8 slinging 63 siblings, the GLC43 Coupe gets a twin-turbo 3.0 litre V6 that churns out 362 horsepower and 520 Nm of twist. Now the GLC coupe gets a few interesting tweaks from other AMGs, including a nine-speed torque converter gearbox that is programmed to deliver faster shifts than the same one in a non-AMG. It also gets a rear biased rear wheel drive system with a 31:69 delivery ratio, although we suspect that this is something that AMG did so the GLC43 would wag its tail around corners. Add them all together and you have a utility vehicle that will decimate the 100kmph mark in 4.8 blistering seconds. Now we expect the baby AMG to hit showrooms in CBU format and that it will cost about Rs.80 lakh once launched.

12:50 pm: Over the course of this year AMG has continued to expand their footprint in India with the AMG driving academy and two new AMG performance centres in Chennai and Kochi. As the brand becomes more recognisable among enthusiasts Mercedes-Benz will create more in-roads for AMG into the subcontinent.
12:45 pm: The AMG 43s were first launched in 2015 with the smaller bi-turbos V6s, as compared to the larger twin-scroll turbo V8 on the 63 series AMGs. With that AMG sales have grown by 44% selling a record 100,000 AMGs in 2016.
12:40 pm: Mercedes-Benz GLC43 AMG will come with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and the instrumentation will have a checkered-flag pattern. The seatbelt s will be red adding a sporty appeal to the interior and also, the center console can be trimmed in carbon fibre.

Add that to the GLC coupes already unique sloping roof fast-back design and you get a car that is properly drool worthy.
12:05 pm: As it with AMG's 43 series, the GLC43 coupe ditches the bigger twin-scroll turbo V8 for a smaller 3.0 litre Bi-turbo V6. For an SUV this size, the V6 is likely to keep it exciting without scaring the living day-lights out of the driver.
12:00 pm: This is also the first Coupe' SUV to be sold in India, and it's interesting body design will no doubt garner a lot of intrest in the brand.
11:55 am: This will be the eighth lauch by Mercedes-Benz India this year, preceeded by E220d, the AMG G 63 Edition 463 and the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA.

11:35 am: The Mercedes-AMG GLC43 AMG will get a rear biased four wheel drive system which is biased to 31:69 to the rear-wheels. AMG have probably done this to counter four wheel drive understeer and retain AMGs classic tail happy nature.
11:30 am: Mercedes-Benz India will bring the GLC43 AMG to the India market as a CBU, we expect it will cost around 80lakhs, which will put it directly in contention with the Porsche Macan Turbo.
