Jeep India is all set to launch its entry-level SUV Compass by the end of this month or in the first week of August. The company's dealers have already started accepting bookings for the new Compass at an amount of Rs 50,000 and the car is expected to be priced between Rs 15 and Rs 21 lakh, ex-showroom, although the company has not yet indicated the prices. The system is offered only in the top versions - Limited and Limited (O). According to the company, the Jeep Compass will use hot stamping that will be welded to each other using a laser welding technology to make the SUV rigid as well as lighter compared to the conventional methods.
