We reported earlier about the third generation Hyundai Tucson, which is expected to be launched later this year. Recently, spy images of the Tucson have surfaced on internet. The spied SUV is fully camouflaged but we expect the car to boast new features, both at exterior and interior. The 2016 Hyundai Tucson was also showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in February.

The Tucson SUV is based on the 2016 Hyundai Elantra platform. On the exterior, the car features projector headlamps with LED lamps and DRLs. Along with this, the car features an electronic panoramic sunroof and electrically-operated tailgate. The South Korean manufacturer has loaded the car with an 8.0inch touch- screen infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car will also get six airbags, key less entry with push start button, automatic climate control and front seat height adjustment.

It is expected that all new Tucson will be powered by a 1.6 L petrol motor, which produces 128hp of power, while the diesel unit will be a 2.0L unit, churning out 175hp of power. The petrol and diesel engines are expected to be mated to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. When launched, the 2016 Hyundai Tucson will be priced above the Creta at around Rs 18 lakh.
