Both the drivers qualified and started the race in fifth and sixth positions, while competitor Oliver Turvey faced a ten-place grid penalty.
Heidfeld quickly climbed from fifth to fourth position in the openeing lap, and Rosenqvist too overtook Esteban Gutierrez not long after. There was, however, a collision on the track that forced most drivers into early pitstops.
The two changed into their second cars while maintaining positions in the same order, making use of time when Jean-Éric Vergne collided with a temporary concrete barrier.
Actress Gul Panag was also present at the Paris ePrix. Panag herself had a go in a Formula E acr when she drove recently the M4Electro.
With the last podium finish, the fourth registered by the team at the 2016-17 FIA Formula E Championship, Mahindra Racing is closing in on ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport in the teams’ standings with just six races left to run.
