In order to strengthen its dealership network in India, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles(FCA) has opened a new store in Mumbai. The company is preparing to an increase in its customer base, for the upcoming launch of the localized Jeep Compass by mid-2017.
The first Destination store, Landmark Lifestyle Store, located in Worli, Mumbai has a display area of over 8,500 square foot and it will display Fiat, Abarth and Jeep vehicles. Along with this, the manufacturer is also planning to open a 12,035 square-foot authorized workshop which would be located at Andheri( East).
The company also opened a new Jeep Destination store in Chennai, RDC Automobile, located at Perungudi area on Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR). According to the company, this is FCA's largest 'Self-Contained' Jeep showroom with 3S(sales, service, and spare parts) facility. The store is spread across an area of 17,700 square feet which includes service, display and parking area.
Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India, said, “We intend to provide their customers with a sales and service experience as a cohesive process, one that will demonstrate their commitment that will make FCA’s existing and future customer base feel very special indeed. Their premium Destination Stores set the benchmark and reflects our new strategy and intent. All of FCA’s new Destination Stores are designed to offer a comprehensive brand experience. In addition to the care that customers will receive inside our showrooms and workshops, we have plans for outside, and will introduce Camp Jeep in India – our international property that will be an opportunity for customers to appreciate off-roading the Jeep way.”
The company also introduced Concept Motor Car, FCA's first Jeep destination store in Gujarat that was inaugurated in September 2016. Moreover, FCA has also partnered with the Landmark Group for its sales and service outlets that will be inaugurated soon at Mathura Road and Moti Nagar.
