Bajaj Auto Limited is announcing price increases across model ranges and after it announced a price hike on the Dominar 400 by Rs 999 for both disc brake and ABS versions, now the two-wheeler manufacturer has increased the prices of the Pulsar range in the country. The company has increased the price of all Pulsar models by Rs 1,001.
Bajaj Pulsar range includes the Pulsar 150, which after the price increase, is now priced at Rs 75,604 and the higher displacement Pulsar 180 is priced at Rs 80,546. In the 200 cc category, the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 priced at Rs 1.21 lakh, now costs Rs 1.22 lakh for the non-ABS variant, while the ABS variant is priced at Rs 1.34 lakh, all prices being ex-showroom, Delhi.
The naked sibling, Pulsar NS 200 now carries a price tag of Rs 97,452. Both models are powered by a 199.5 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC liquid cooled engine. The Bajaj Pulsar 220 F, which is priced at Rs 91,201, now retails at Rs 92,200. The Pulsar 135 LS with a price tag of Rs 60,178, now sells at Rs 61,177.
Bajaj Auto has increased the priced of most of its model lineup and we expect the company to increase the priced of all its model range in the country soon including the Discover, Avenger, Platina Comfortec, V and the CT 100.
The two-wheeler maker reported a 10 percent decline in its total sales for the month of May, 2017. The company sold around 3.14 lakh units during the month as compared to 3.48 lakh units in May, 2016. In the domestic market, Bajaj's sales fell by 15 percent to 1.74 lakh units and the exports declined by 3 percent to 1.4 lakh.
