Audi India has launched the A6 Matrix with petrol engine in India at Rs. 52.75 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The A6 Matrix 35 TFSI is powered by a 1.8 L, TSI petrol engine that produces 188 hp of power and 320 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed S tronic transmission. The luxury sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. The newly launched A6 Matrix petrol delivers a fuel economy of 15.26 km/l.
Dimensionally, the sedan remains the same. The car will continue to have the same standard features as that of the diesel variant. The Audi A6 Matic 35 TFSI gets advanced infotainment system along with safety equipment like eight airbags, electronic stabilisation control and tyre pressure monitoring display.
"With the Audi A6 Matrix 35 TFSI, we want to reach out to India's smart luxury car buyers and also cater to customers who want a fully equipped car in petrol," Audi India Head Joe King said in a statement.
Audi already sells the A3 and the A8 sedans in petrol variants in its lineup and is now planning to add more petrol-powered models in the country. Not only on the sedan, but the car manufacturer will add petrol engine to its existing model range and SUVs - Q3, Q5 and Q7 in India by the first quarter of next year. This move by the company is to offer its customers with more engine options as well as to adapt to changing market demand.
