Audi is working on a powerful version of RS7 that will produce 700 hp of power. Before its official launch, Peisert Design has rendered the images of next-gen Audi RS7. The rendered images suggest that next-gen RS7 will get a new front grille and redesigned headlamps. Also, the car will come with large air intakes with chrome accents at front. The next-gen Audi RS7 will come in two variants standard and a plug-in hybrid. The standard RS7 variant will be powered by a 4.0 litre V8 engine that will produce 650 hp of power. In addition, the 2019 Audi RS7 hybrid variant will get V8 engine that churns out 550 hp of power, however, along with the electric motor and 14-kilowatt-hour lithium battery it generates an output of 700 hp of power. It is said that the Audi RS7 will adopt its hybrid powertrain from Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-hybrid and Bentley Continental GT. The next-gen RS7 engine will carry the same transmission 8-speed automatic gearbox with Audi's exclusive Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. The RS7 can accelerate 0-100 kph in 3.4 less than seconds before hitting a top speed of 305km/h.
In addition, the German car manufacturer is also planning to use 4.0 litre V8 with a hybrid engine in next-gen S8. Meanwhile, it is expected that the Audi might unveil S7 by March 2018 in Geneva, while the RS7 is likely to be introduced by end of next year. In India, Audi launched the upgraded version of RS7 Sportsback-RS7 Performance, that delivers 605 hp of power and 700Nm of torque.For more torque, the RS7 Performance features an 'Overboost function' which offers an on-demand increase of torque from 700Nm to 750Nm.The Audi might introduce the most powerful version of RS7 in India in late 2019.
