Ahead of its unveiling the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the official images of the 2018 Volkswagen CC sedan have possibly been revealed. The new 2018 Volkswagen CC looks similar to the Volkswagen Sports Coupe Concept GTE as it shares its design cues with the model which was showcased at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The most attractive feature in the new CC sedan is the C-shaped front fascia where the boomerang-shaped headlamps seamlessly connect with the grille and form a C-shape. The car also gets LED lamps with daytime running lights and sleeker front bumper with air intakes. The car has also got a sharper rear design that makes it look more premium than the current model.
According to the reports, the new Volkswagen CC will be based on the company's modular MQB architecture. The Volkswagen CC will measure 4,869mm in length, 1,407mm in height and 1,864mm in width. The CC will get its power from the Passat GTE's 1.4L, TSI hybrid engine. The motor produces a maximum power of 215 hp. However, the sedan might come with the bigger displacement unit with six-cylinder, turbocharged mill along with two electric motors, which will develop a combines 380 hp of peak power. The upcoming sedan might also get an AWD system.
