It’s been a busy month for Renault India as after a lot of speculation the company will finally be launching its Renault Captur crossover in India on 7th November and its on Monday that we will come to know about the price of the Captur. The bookings for Renault Captur commenced in October 2017 at a price of Rs 25,000 and the company has also started displaying the vehicle at public events and places including shopping malls and airports. Renault Captur will be positioned above the Renault Duster SUV and is now the fourth product in Renaut’s India line-up.
Renault Captur gets a curvaceous design language with an aggressive looking face with a fresh headlamp cluster and a sleek front grille. There is a lot of chrome too but thankfully the designers haven't gone overboard with it and have managed to strike a good balance. The LED DRLs in the lower part of the bumper accentuates the sleek design of the vehicle. The vehicle stands tall and has a ground clearance of 210 mm.
Inside the Captur, Renaut has given a black-beige finish to the dashboard and it looks quite neat, It gets a touchscreen infotainment system that supports Bluetooth and navigation but misses out on Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Renault Captur will be launched only with the diesel engine and will be powered by the tried and tested 1.5L diesel engine that’s been borrowed from the Renault Duster. It has a maximum power output of 108 hp and 240 Nm of torque.
We expect Renault Captur price to be above Renault Duster’s but just under-cutting Hyundai Creta. Captur will be priced between Rs 9.5 – 14.5 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
